The quality of our skin changes with age. As a result, the skin changes and becomes less elastic, less supple and drier. The aim of moisturising therapy with Skinnbooster hyaluronic acid is to achieve refreshed skin with more volume and smooth wrinkles. In a moisturising therapy with Skinbooster, the entire skin is permanently moisturised. To do this, a very fine hyaluronic acid is applied to a large area under the skin. This therapy balances the volume and smoothes out wrinkles in the skin. This treatment is possible at any age and with any skin type. In contrast to the classic hyaluronic acid treatment, skin rehydration does not consist of a selective improvement of an area, but of a complete hydration of an entire zone.

What is the Filler – Hyaluronic Acid ?

Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of subcutaneous tissue. It combines with water in the tissue. In the skin, the concentration of hyaluronic acid decreases with age. The result is a less elastic skin that is prone to wrinkles. Fillers are substances that are injected into the skin to correct a loss of substance due to the aging process. They are most often used to “fill in” wrinkles. The fillers used at the Clinique Bellefontaine are exclusively based on natural hyaluronic acid and are fully degradable.

Before each Skinbooster injection, please let us know if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have used other fillers and are taking medication such as blood thinners.

For your comfort, you receive an anaesthetic cream in the area to be injected. The filler injection session using Skinbooster is then carried out in a room suitable for this treatment, where cleanliness and aseptic conditions are required. The injection points are drawn on the cleaned and disinfected skin. Only approved and recognized products are used at the Bellefontaine Clinic. Injections are performed with very fine, short needles or small cannulas. Small redness and swollen areas appear at the injection sites and disappear after 15 minutes.

The effect is immediately visible as soon as the skin irritations caused by the injections have disappeared. Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas after treatment. You can then return to your activities immediately after the injection. The treatment usually lasts 12 months, depending on the region and the product used. For a lasting effect, the treatment should be repeated after 4 weeks. In some cases, a second treatment after 8 weeks is necessary.

The treatment is generally well tolerated. Possible side effects are small temporary bruising and temporary redness or swelling at the injection site.
