General information
Fillers or resorbable hyaluronic acid are suitable for the treatment of deep wrinkles (e.g. nasolabial folds) or small, fixed wrinkles (e.g. lip lines, cheek wrinkles). What is Filler – Hyaluronic acid Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of subcutaneous tissue. It combines with water in the tissue. In the skin, the concentration of hyaluronic acid decreases with age. The result is less elastic, wrinkle-prone skin. Fillers are substances injected into the skin to correct a loss of substance due to the aging process. They are most often used to “fill” wrinkles. The fillers used at Clinique Bellefontaine are exclusively based on natural, fully degradable hyaluronic acid. Where to use Filler – Hyaluronic acid Fillers are particularly suitable for the injection of deep wrinkles (e.g. nasolabial folds), as well as for the treatment of small wrinkles that have already set in (e.g. cheek wrinkles, lip wrinkles). They are also used to restore volume (lips, nose bridge, dark circles, cheekbones).

Before each hyaluronic acid injection, please let us know if you are pregnant, breast-feeding, have used other fillers or are taking medications such as anticoagulants.
During the procedure
For your comfort, you receive an anesthetic cream in the area to be injected. Fillers are often combined with lidocaine (an anesthetic) to achieve a gentle sting. The filler injection session is then carried out in a room adapted for this treatment, where cleanliness and aseptic conditions are required. Injection points are drawn on cleansed and disinfected skin. Only approved and recognized products are used at Clinique Bellefontaine. Injections are performed using very fine, short needles or small cannulas. Small, pink, swollen areas appear at the injection points and disappear after 15 minutes.
After the procedure
The effect is immediately visible once the skin irritations caused by the injections have disappeared. Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas after treatment. You can then return to your normal activities immediately after the injection. Treatment usually lasts from 12 to 24 months, depending on the area and the product used.
Risks and side effects
Treatment is generally well tolerated. Possible side effects include temporary bruising and temporary redness or swelling at the injection site.
