360-degree arm liposuction

Arm liposuction is becoming increasingly popular these days. Many patients want slimmer, more sculpted arms. It is often difficult to achieve this result through diet and exercise alone. There are various techniques such as CoolSculpting, cryolipolysis, and radiofrequency therapy, but these are never as effective or radical as liposuction. Most surgeons take a fairly conservative approach to treating the arms with liposuction. They generally only treat the underside of the arm. In the case of 360-degree liposuction, we liposuction the lower, upper, and sides of the arms, as well as the area near the shoulder. To be honest, 360-degree arm liposuction is never completely thorough. A small part of the inner arm must be avoided in order to prevent damage to the vessels and nerves on the inner side of the arm, including the brachial artery.

How does 360-degree arm liposuction work?

Before the procedure

During the initial consultation, Dr. Favre will carefully assess your needs to determine whether arm liposuction is sufficient or if additional treatments such as arm renuvion are necessary to tighten the skin. In extreme cases of skin laxity, we will recommend an arm lift. We will analyze the thickness of the subcutaneous fat to estimate the amount of fat to be removed. Arm liposuction is a very interesting area because almost all of the fat can be removed. Preoperative tests, such as a blood test, are carried out before the procedure to ensure that there is no anemia or blood disorder. It is essential to have a stable weight before the operation, as significant variations could affect the final result.

The procedure

Arm liposuction is a type of liposuction that we frequently perform under local anesthesia. Before the procedure, the areas to be treated are marked while the patient is standing. The patient confirms these markings with Dr. Favre in front of a mirror. We then proceed to the operating room, where a thorough disinfection is performed to ensure absolute sterility.

Procedure:

- Injection of a tumescent solution called Klein's solution to reduce pain and minimize bruising
- Liposuction using PAL micro-cannulas for gentle and precise fat removal
- Vaser technology may be used, if necessary, when we find a lot of fibrous tissue surrounding the fat to facilitate extraction and improve skin retraction
- Use of Renuvion in cases of distended skin
- Checks in a standing position after the procedure to ensure perfect symmetry
The arm liposuction procedure takes approximately 1 to 2 hours and is performed on an outpatient basis, allowing you to return home the same day.

After the procedure

To maximize the quality of the results, we have implemented a post-operative protocol to be followed at home.
- A Marena compression garment is applied immediately after the procedure to help the skin readjust and reduce swelling. It must be worn day and night for 3 weeks, then only at night for an additional 3 weeks.
- A 4-day course of antibiotics is prescribed to prevent infection.
- Some discharge of the tumescent solution mixed with blood is normal in the first 12 hours after the procedure.
- You may shower after 48 hours, accompanied by someone else.
- Avoid exertion involving the arms and do not carry heavy objects for at least 3 weeks. You may resume sports activities after 3 weeks.
- Pain similar to muscle soreness usually disappears after a week.
- LPG treatment should begin 7 to 10 days after the procedure to smooth the skin and remove any hardened areas.
The first results are visible immediately after the procedure, but you will need to wait 3 months to see the final results, once the swelling has completely subsided.

General information, 360-degree arm liposuction

360-degree arm liposuction is an effective solution for removing excess fat from the arms and achieving a more harmonious contour. Effective liposuction combined with exercise can even bring out the muscles in the arms, such as the deltoids and triceps. This procedure is particularly recommended for people who, despite exercise and a healthy diet, notice stubborn fat accumulation in this area. An experienced surgeon can remove more than 90% of excess fat. In the case of the arms, we treat the front, back, and sides of the arm as well as the shoulder. In cases of sagging skin on the arm, we offer solutions such as Renuvion to tighten the skin. The result is a slimmer, more shapely arm.
