General information
The unique CoolSculpting technology is a non-surgical method, scientifically proven for many years, that can reduce stubborn fat deposits in problem areas such as the abdomen, love handles, hips, thighs, arms or double chin by 20-25%. The body of a healthy person has a fixed number of fat cells, regardless of weight gain or loss. These cells grow and/or shrink. Eliminating them is the most lasting and effective way to achieve a reduction in stubborn fat deposits. CoolSculpting © uses a method known as cryolipolysis. Adipose tissue is “sandwiched” between two cooling elements that chill the fat to 4 degrees Celsius, the freezing point of fat. Due to the intensive influence of the cold, the fat cells crystallize and are broken down and excreted by the body in a natural metabolic process via the liver for several weeks after treatment. The full results of fat reduction are then visible around 2-3 months after treatment. Scientifically proven results: A study published in 2009 entitled “Clinical efficacy of non-invasive cryolipolysis and its effect on peripheral nerves” proved that fat tissue treated with cryolipolysis could be reduced by up to 25%. This result was still visible 6 months after treatment. In some cases, there are contraindications to cryolipolysis. In addition to severe overweight, these include adipose tissue or skin diseases, cold or pressure urticaria, vascular inflammation and pregnancy. CoolSculpting is a safe and effective method for people with healthy/normal eating habits and an active lifestyle. CoolSculpting is not a weight loss treatment. CoolSculpting is intended for patients whose body weight is close to their ideal weight and who wish to reduce fat in one of the 9 FDA-approved treatment areas (abdomen, hips, flanks, thighs, chest, arms, chin, back, knees).
